The Challenge/Scope

With business booming, Cosmic needed a larger retail space and turned to Statement Homes, having worked with them previously. The task involved working alongside a commercial designer to ensure the new plans met the needs of their growing customer base, while ensuring that all materials were available on time.

Collaborating closely with the commercial designer

Statement Homes worked hand-in-hand with the designer, providing pricing and material availability to align with Cosmic’s vision for the expanded store.


Managing limited access and busy CBD surroundings

The central location meant arranging parking permits and being mindful of surrounding businesses. Deliveries were scheduled during early mornings or late evenings to avoid disrupting pedestrian traffic and other operations in the bustling CBD.


Handling intricate cabinetry and glass installation

The fit-out involved careful installation of wooden floors, shelving, and delicate glass cabinets, ensuring that the shop looked pristine and customer-ready.


Creating a chill-out mezzanine for staff

Clayton identified unused space above the store and suggested converting it into a staff "chill-out" nook, complete with bean bags and power outlets. The client loved the idea, and it became a unique feature that the staff greatly appreciated.
